Arc Mate 120iD

The FANUC Arc Mate 120iD is the latest-generation arc welding robot in the 120-series, delivering a 20 kg payload with improved repeatability at ±0.04 mm and faster axis speeds versus the 120iC predecessor. The higher payload supports the heaviest production arc welding torch configurations, dual-process welding heads, and integrated seam tracking and vision systems, while the improved repeatability enables tighter bead placement tolerances on precision weldments.

The 120iD’s updated mechanical platform reduces the moment of inertia at the wrist joints, contributing to faster path execution and smoother velocity control during continuous seam welding. Through-arm cable management for the torch dress pack is refined in the iD generation for easier maintenance access. The iD’s sealed joint design continues the Arc Mate series’ resistance to spatter, fume, and heat in production welding environments, with improved grease retention reducing maintenance intervals versus the iC.

The Arc Mate 120iD operates exclusively on the R-30iB Plus controller with iPendant Touch, providing access to FANUC’s latest software capabilities including advanced seam tracking, laser vision seam finding, adaptive welding parameter control, Dual Check Safety, and Zero Downtime predictive maintenance. The R-30iB Plus platform enables expanded connectivity for Industry 4.0 integration, including production monitoring and real-time weld quality data logging.

For customers requiring a higher level of readiness, our reconditioning service includes full axis lubrication, servo drive inspection, controller servicing, cable assessment, and cosmetic restoration — bringing the robot to a customer-specified performance standard. We also accept Arc Mate 120iD units from customers who need maintenance or repair performed on robots already in their facility, whether the issue is a failed component, degraded repeatability, or a robot coming out of a long storage period.
