KR 120 R3100-2

The KUKA KR 120 R3100-2 is a 120 kg payload robot with an extended 3,100 mm reach from the KR QUANTEC series, combining high payload capacity with a reach that spans wide work areas without floor tracks. The 3,100 mm reach positions it for applications where both a substantial payload and long-distance transfer are required — press room material handling, extended machine tending, and large-part transfer operations where floor track systems would add complexity.

The KR 120 R3100-2 is built on the KR QUANTEC mechanical platform with IP54 standard and IP65 wrist protection, appropriate for the contamination environments of machine tending and light press room applications. The robust joint construction supports the continuous duty cycles of production environments. At 1,105 kg robot weight, foundation engineering is straightforward compared to the heavier QUANTEC ultra variants.

Compatible with KR C4 and KR C5 controllers with smartPAD. The KR C4 supports KUKA’s full software suite including SafeOperation functional safety, mxAutomation for PLC integration, and KUKA’s material handling technology packages. KUKA.OfficeLite enables offline programming and reach verification — particularly important for extended-reach installations where commissioning is complex.
