FANUC M-6iB
The FANUC M-6iB is a compact 6-axis robot with a 6 kg payload and 1,373 mm reach, sharing the same mechanical architecture as the Arc Mate 100iB arc welding robot. This commonality means the M-6iB can be converted into a welding configuration, making it highly versatile across material handling, assembly, machine tending, and arc welding applications. Its modular construction and standard capabilities provide dexterity and high speeds suited for light industrial automation.
The M-6iB features a slim wrist design for access into tight spaces and the ability to flip over backward for an extended work envelope. High axis speeds — up to 520°/s at the J6 wrist — enable fast cycle times on pick-and-place and assembly tasks. The robot is compatible with standard grippers or custom EOAT, with pneumatic and electrical connections built into the J3 axis for simplified tool integration.
Operates on the R-J3iB controller with iPendant — a well-understood platform with strong parts availability throughout North America. The M-6iB has a large installed base across machine shops, medical device manufacturing, electronics, and food production environments. FANUC’s ROBOGUIDE supports offline programming for this model.
