M-20iB/25

The FANUC M-20iB/25 is the next-generation successor to the M-20iA, delivering a 25 kg payload with improved repeatability at ±0.04 mm and faster axis speeds on the updated M-20iB mechanical platform. The additional 5 kg payload versus the M-20iA accommodates heavier EOAT configurations — larger grippers, additional sensors, or heavier weld torch assemblies — while the improved repeatability benefits precision assembly and gauging applications. The M-20iB/25 is a direct upgrade path for M-20iA cells requiring more payload or higher accuracy.

The M-20iB/25 refines the hollow arm cable routing architecture of the M-20iA, with improved internal cable protection and easier maintenance access at the wrist. Faster J4, J5, and J6 speeds reduce cycle times on part reorientation tasks. The updated mechanical platform improves grease retention and reduces maintenance intervals versus the iA generation. The M-20iB/25 maintains the M-20iA’s compact footprint and mounting compatibility, enabling direct physical replacement in existing M-20iA cells.

Compatible with R-30iB and R-30iB Plus controllers in B-size cabinets, the M-20iB/25 supports FANUC’s current full software suite including iRVision, Dual Check Safety, Zero Downtime predictive maintenance, Force Sensing, and Collision Guard. The R-30iB Plus adds energy efficiency improvements and expanded network integration. iPendant Touch is standard. ROBOGUIDE fully supports the M-20iB/25 for offline programming.
