FANUC M-20iA/20M
The FANUC M-20iA/20M is a high-inertia variant of the M-20iA platform, designed for multi-material handling applications requiring elevated wrist moment capacity at a 20 kg payload. The 20M designation indicates enhanced wrist axis specifications — J4 and J5 reach 405°/s versus the standard M-20iA’s 360°/s — making it particularly suited for tasks where the end-of-arm tooling generates high moments under rapid acceleration and deceleration.
The M-20iA/20M shares the M-20iA’s hollow upper arm and wrist cable routing architecture, protecting dress packs from interference and wear in confined cell environments. Its compact footprint and slim arm allow installation close to machine tools and assembly stations. The improved repeatability at ±0.03 mm versus the standard M-20iA’s ±0.08 mm reflects updated mechanical specifications on this variant.
Compatible with R-30iA and R-30iB controllers in B-size cabinet configurations with iPendant and iPendant Touch. FANUC’s iRVision, Force Sensing, and Collision Guard options are supported. ROBOGUIDE fully supports the M-20iA/20M for offline programming and cell layout simulation.
