KR 70 R2100

The KUKA KR 70 R2100 is a 70 kg payload robot with a 2,100 mm reach from the KR QUANTEC series, occupying the mid-range between the lighter KR AGILUS models and the heavy QUANTEC payload class. The 70 kg payload with 2,100 mm reach positions it for machine tending, material handling, and assembly applications where the reach of a larger work envelope is needed but the full 120-210 kg capacity of the upper QUANTEC variants is not required — covering a practical range of automotive and general manufacturing applications.

The KR 70 R2100 shares the KR QUANTEC mechanical architecture with the full range of structural rigidity and precision engineering that characterizes the series. IP54 standard with IP65 wrist protection suits coolant and contamination environments common in machine tending and light press room applications. Floor and inverted mounting options provide cell layout flexibility. The robot’s optimized mass distribution enables efficient motion at the full 2,100 mm reach while maintaining the payload accuracy required for consistent part placement.

Operating on the KR C4 controller with smartPAD, the KR 70 R2100 supports KUKA’s full software suite including SafeOperation for functional safety, mxAutomation for PLC integration, and KUKA’s material handling and machine tending technology packages. KUKA.OfficeLite enables offline programming and simulation. The KRL programming environment is consistent across all KR C4 robots, allowing technicians familiar with other KUKA models to work on the KR 70 R2100 without model-specific retraining.
