GP50
High-Payload Next-Gen 6-Axis Robot
Yaskawa GP50
The Yaskawa Motoman GP50 is a 50 kg payload next-generation robot with a 2,038 mm reach from Yaskawa’s GP series, providing a capable mid-to-heavy general-purpose platform for machine tending, material handling, assembly, and light spot welding on the YRC1000 control architecture. The 50 kg payload at 2,038 mm reach covers a practical range of automotive and manufacturing applications — from loading heavy machined castings into CNC centers to handling large fabricated assemblies on conveyor systems.
The GP50 delivers the mechanical and performance improvements of the GP series versus the MH-series predecessor, including improved repeatability at ±0.07 mm, faster axis speeds, and enhanced grease retention for reduced maintenance intervals. IP54 standard with IP67 wrist protection suits machine tending environments with coolant and contamination exposure. The robust joint construction supports the continuous duty cycles of production machine tending and high-throughput material handling.
The GP50 operates on the YRC1000 controller with Smart Pendant or YRC1000 programming pendant. The YRC1000 platform supports Yaskawa’s current software suite including Functional Safety Unit for safe zone management, MotoSight vision guidance for part identification and guidance, coordinated positioner motion, and Industry 4.0 connectivity. MotoSim offline programming fully supports the GP50 for cell layout simulation and program development prior to physical installation.
iGAM offers the GP50 at multiple condition levels depending on your application and budget. All units are inspected and run prior to shipping from our Detroit facility. For customers requiring higher confidence, our reconditioning service brings the robot through a documented multi-stage process covering axis lubrication, servo evaluation, controller servicing, and functional testing. iGAM also works with customers who own a GP50 and need maintenance or refurbishment performed — bringing an existing robot back to reliable operation rather than replacing it outright.
